About Boundary Park

We are Nic & Barry Bishop. Along with our children we have been farming Alpacas since 2000, along side our extensive farming operation of Sheep, Beef and Deer, in the Maungati District of Timaru, South Canterbury, and prior to that in Mid Canterbury, also along side our farming operation.

Boundary Park Alpaca Stud is a unit within our larger farming operation, known as Glenshee, comprising 555 hectares in the beautiful rolling hills area of Maungati District, Timaru, in South Canterbury. Off the beaten track, our farm features areas of native bush with a significant bird population, including tui, bellbirds and fantails.

The area is enhancing for alpacas. The climate is good for safe breeding and the soil type encourages a finer micron.

We are totally committed to breeding the best alpacas, with good temperament, fine, soft handling, and fast growing dense fleeces. Consistent fleece and animals is our priority.
We are shares in a wonderful stud male Flowerdale Shackleton, a medium fawn male whose first cria were anticipated with much excitement and arrived in December 2008.

We also have a half share in Honeyfields Sutherland. He is an up and coming young male.
